Organizing photos into albums
Found under a gallery's Media tab -- splits one gallery into tabs your clients see as tiles, like "Varsity" and "JV" inside the same event.
Every album uses the rest of the gallery's own settings (layout, watermarking, pricing) -- only a few things are set per album:
- Name -- shown as the tile label.
- Cover photo -- picked automatically from the album's own photos unless you set one.
- Password (optional) -- separate from the gallery's own password, lets you lock just one album while the rest of the gallery stays open.
- Hidden -- excludes the album from the tile grid; still reachable by a direct link, useful for a private add-on set you only share with specific people.
A photo not yet assigned to any album shows up under "Unassigned" until you move it into one -- select photos in the grid and use "Assign to album" from the toolbar, or assign one at a time from a photo's own menu.
Moving photos or a whole album to a different gallery
Useful for consolidating two galleries created for the same event by mistake.
- Move selected photos -- select photos in the grid (same checkboxes used for Tag/Delete), then "Move to gallery" in the toolbar and pick the destination. Moved photos leave their old album behind, since albums belong to one gallery.
- Move a whole album -- open the album's edit panel (the pencil icon) and use "Move this album to another gallery." The album keeps its name, cover, and settings, along with every photo in it -- you're taken to the destination gallery once it's done.
Album names must be unique within a gallery -- moving an album into a gallery that already has one with the same name is blocked until you rename one first.
