Free downloads
Found under a gallery's Privacy & Selling tab -- give visitors a real number of free downloads, or make the whole gallery free, independent of anything you sell.
Three modes
- Off -- visitors must purchase to download anything (the default).
- A limited number per visitor -- pick any number. Each visitor gets that many free downloads from this gallery; anything beyond that requires a purchase.
- Unlimited -- every photo is free for everyone, no limit.
A limited number requires "Require an email" (the Access tab) to be on, since a quota only means something if we know who's used it -- turning on a limited number automatically turns this on for you. Unlimited doesn't require it.
Delivered size
Choose what a free download actually gives your visitor:
- Full resolution -- the real original file.
- Social media size -- a resized 2048px copy, good for sharing without handing over your largest file.
Re-downloading a photo a visitor already claimed for free always works and never uses up more of their quota -- the limit only counts distinct photos, not repeat downloads of the same one.
Works independently of your price sheet -- combine both to sell prints while giving away a set number of digital downloads, or turn this on alone for a fully free gallery.
