File history and the audit export
Image Depot keeps a tamper-evident record of what happens to your account, galleries and photos. Two places let you see it.
File history on a photo
- Open the gallery, then the photoAny photo in your dashboard.
- Click File historyYou see every upload, replace, download, delete and restore for that photo, who did it (you, a team member, a client, our support team, or an automatic process) and when, in your local time.
Audit export for a whole gallery
- Open the gallery pageOwner-only -- team members do not see this section.
- Scroll to Audit export and pick a date rangeThe default is the last 90 days; up to 800 days is allowed.
- Choose CSV or PrintableCSV opens in Excel or Sheets. Printable opens a report page with a Print / Save as PDF button.
The export lists, for each event: the time (UTC), what happened, the outcome, who did it, which photo or album, a one-line summary and the country the action came from. The last lines state the date range, the number of rows, and whether the record's integrity check passed. It never includes IP addresses, browser details or email addresses.
What is recorded
Uploads, replacements, downloads, deletes and restores; gallery and album visibility and password changes; share links; sign-ins, sign-outs and failed sign-in attempts; team changes; actions our support team takes on your account; and, where you use them, each AI tagging or quality-scoring run and any manual correction to its result. Security and sign-in events are kept 13 months; everything else 25 months. The record survives account deletion because it is the proof that the deletion happened. Our Privacy Policy (Section 9) and Data Processing Agreement describe it in full.
