Copyright & DMCA Policy
Effective Date: August 30, 2026Image Depot respects copyright and expects users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how Image Depot handles copyright complaints involving Content hosted through the Service.
1. Copyright Ownership
Photographers and Studios retain ownership of their original photographs and other Content uploaded to Image Depot. Uploading Content does not transfer copyright ownership to Image Depot. Image Depot receives only the limited rights necessary to provide the Service as described in the Terms of Service.
2. Copyright Complaints
If you believe that Content available through Image Depot infringes your copyright, you may submit a written copyright complaint. A complaint should contain enough information for Image Depot to evaluate the claim, including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material
- Information sufficient to locate the material
- Your contact information
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized
- A statement that the information provided is accurate
- A statement that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner, where applicable
- Your physical or electronic signature
3. Where to Send Complaints

If Image Depot establishes a designated DMCA agent in the future, the applicable agent information will be published on this page.
4. Response to Complaints
After receiving a sufficiently detailed complaint, Image Depot may:
- Review the complaint
- Contact the applicable account holder
- Temporarily restrict access to disputed Content
- Remove allegedly infringing Content
- Request additional information
- Take other action permitted by applicable law
Image Depot does not determine copyright ownership in complex disputes.
5. Counter-Notifications
If Content was removed because of a copyright complaint and the account holder believes the removal was incorrect, the account holder may submit a counter-notification where permitted by applicable law. The counter-notification should include information required by applicable law. Image Depot may restore Content when legally appropriate.
6. Repeat Infringers
Image Depot may suspend or terminate accounts belonging to users who repeatedly engage in confirmed copyright infringement. The specific action taken may depend on the circumstances, severity, and history of the alleged infringement.
7. False Claims
Submitting knowingly false or materially misleading copyright complaints may result in legal liability. Image Depot may take action against users who abuse the copyright complaint process.
8. Studio Responsibility
Studios are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and permissions for Content they upload. Image Depot does not independently verify ownership of every photograph uploaded to the Service.
9. Trademark and Other Rights
This policy primarily addresses copyright. Complaints involving trademark, right of publicity, privacy, defamation, personal information, or other legal rights may be submitted to Image Depot for review, although different legal procedures may apply.
