imagedepot.net/schoolsLearn. Build. Launch.
Your students learn the camera and the editing in your class. Image Depot Student gives each of them a verified account to practice what comes after: building a real portfolio and delivering their work the way working photographers do.
No cost to qualifying programs during the 2026–2027 pilot. Nothing to install.
Photography students learn to operate cameras and edit images, but many finish a program without ever presenting and delivering their work the way a working photographer does. And teachers rarely have a real platform to show that part on.
Image Depot Student closes that gap with real infrastructure, not another course. Your program keeps its own lessons. Your students get a real platform to build on.
A structured program you can run without extra paperwork: you invite your students, Image Depot verifies them through you, and everyone works on the same real platform.
One roster for the teacher: invite students by email, see who has accepted, and manage their accounts from one place.
Students are verified through your program, not by a box they tick themselves. Their portfolio says Verified Student Photographer, with a valid-through date for the school year.
No cost to qualifying programs during the 2026–2027 pilot. You don't buy anything: your program is how students are verified and how they get their accounts.
Image Depot runs in a web browser. There is no software to buy or install on school computers.
Image Depot doesn't write or certify curriculum and doesn't teach. Your lessons stay yours; this is the real platform they plug into.
Every student builds real galleries and a real portfolio, and Manage lets you open a student's account to review the work with them.
A real account of their own, built for building a portfolio rather than running a business.
How the badge reads on a student's portfolio (specialties are the student's own).
Student accounts are for developing skills and a portfolio, not for running a photography business. These are switched off on purpose:
Selling photosOff until Image Depot approves the account for sales.
Client contracts and referral creditsNot part of Student accounts.
Team seats, Image Depot Live, Quick Upload and SyncBusiness tools a portfolio doesn't need.
Custom domains, highlight videos and paid add-onsStudent accounts have no plan or billing page.
API keys are off too, and AI jersey recognition is not available on Student accounts.
Many students are minors, so the defaults are the careful ones. Nothing here depends on someone remembering to switch it on.
Before inviting a student under 18, the teacher confirms they have a parent's or guardian's consent. The student then confirms they are 13 or older and accepts the Terms and Privacy Policy; under 18, a parent or guardian reads and agrees to them too.
Student portfolios are not listed in search engines, and the school's name is not shown publicly.
In public, a student shows as "Alex R.": on their portfolio, their galleries, the watermark on their photos and emails to people who view or buy them. The full name shows only if the student or teacher turns it on.
A student's email address is never shown to their clients. Replies to a student's gallery emails go to Image Depot support.
The teacher has full access while a student is enrolled, and students are told before they accept and on their own dashboard. Every change the teacher makes inside a student's account, and every deletion or undo, is logged.
Deleting a student's account is never instant: nothing is removed for 48 hours, and the teacher can undo it.
A student who left a roster can't be added back until they confirm it themselves.
A parent or guardian of a student under 18 can ask us to see, correct or delete the student's information by emailing support@imagedepot.net.
Send the short Request information form on this page. A person at Image Depot reads it and replies by email.
Program accounts are set up by Image Depot, not by self-serve sign-up. You get an email invite to set your password.
From My Roster: a student's name and email, plus your confirmation of parent or guardian consent for anyone under 18.
Each student sets a password, confirms they are 13 or older, accepts the Terms and Privacy Policy, and starts uploading, organizing and sharing.
We're starting with a pilot of 5 to 10 photography programs for the 2026–2027 school year, at no cost to the programs. We would rather show you what happened than tell you what might.
Your teaching. Your program defines and tracks its own coursework; Image Depot measures how the platform is used and what students come away with.
High school photography, digital media, career and technical education (CTE), career academy and yearbook programs, then community college and technical school programs.
There is no student sign-up form. If your photography teacher's program takes part, your teacher invites you by email, and your account is verified through your program. If your program isn't part of it yet, show your teacher this page.
Once you're in: a free account while you're enrolled, galleries for your shoots, and a portfolio with the Verified Student Photographer badge that you can link on a college, internship or job application. What your account can do.
A title above Verified Student for students who want to do more:
Applications will open inside the student dashboard.
Nothing for qualifying programs during the 2026–2027 pilot. Student accounts are free for as long as the student is enrolled through their teacher's program.
No. Image Depot doesn't write, certify or teach curriculum. Your program keeps its own lessons; Image Depot is the platform your students use to upload, organize, present and deliver their work.
No. Image Depot runs in a web browser, for teachers and for students.
Students 13 or older, invited by their teacher through a School Program account. There is no open student sign-up. For a student under 18, the teacher confirms they have a parent's or guardian's consent before sending the invite, and a parent or guardian reads and agrees to the Terms and Privacy Policy with the student before the student accepts.
50 GB of storage, the same as the Solo plan, with no limit on the number of galleries.
While a student is enrolled, the teacher is responsible for the account and has full access to it. Manage opens the student's account for up to 8 hours at a time, and every change made there is logged. Students are told about this access before they accept and on their own dashboard. The teacher can remove a student from the roster, which keeps the student's account and photos, or delete the account, which waits 48 hours so it can be undone.
The student's first name and last initial (like "Alex R."), unless the student or the teacher turns the full name on. Student portfolios are not listed in search engines, the school's name is not shown publicly, and a student's email address is never shown to their clients: their replies go to Image Depot support.
Not by default. Selling stays off until Image Depot approves a Student account for sales. Client contracts and referral credits are not part of Student accounts.
Leaving the program ends the teacher's access. Removing a student from a roster does not delete their account or their photos. If a teacher adds the student again in a later year, nothing changes until the student confirms it themselves.
Yes. A parent or guardian of a student under 18 can email support@imagedepot.net to ask us to see, correct or delete the student's information, or to close the account. We verify the request and may involve the teacher.
Yes, it's coming: the Student Ambassador Program for the 2026–2027 school year, a title above Verified Student. Applications will open inside the student dashboard.
Send the Request information form on this page. A person at Image Depot replies by email, and if your program is a fit for the pilot, we set up your School Program account.
Tell us about your program. There's no obligation, and it takes a minute.
Rather email? support@imagedepot.net. Teachers can also read School Program for instructors in the Help Center.
