AI jersey & team tags

Instead of typing jersey numbers onto photos one by one, you can have an AI model read the numbers and team names that are printed and visible in your photos and add them as searchable tags -- so a parent who searches "23" finds every photo of number 23.

Off by default, and it stays off until you turn it on for a specific gallery. Available on the Pro plan and above. Open a gallery and choose AI jersey tags above the photo grid.

What it does -- and doesn't

Turn it on and scan

  1. Open the gallery, then AI jersey tagsRead the notice, tick the box confirming you understand photos are processed by an AI model (only asked the first time), and switch the gallery on.
  2. New uploads scan automaticallyOnce a gallery is on, photos you upload afterward are scanned in the background -- it never slows an upload.
  3. Scan photos already in the galleryPress Scan to queue the photos that haven't been scanned yet. Tags appear as each one finishes.

Add a roster (optional)

Paste one player per line -- team, number, name (or just number, name) -- and searching a player's name will find their photos. A name is only added when the AI actually reads that number (and that team, if you gave one); if two players could match, it's skipped instead of guessed. Names in a roster become searchable on your public galleries, so only add names you're comfortable making searchable. Changing the roster later re-applies names to photos already scanned at no extra cost.

Review and clear

The same page lists your photos with their AI tags next to your own. Clear one photo's AI tags, or every AI tag in the gallery, any time. Turning the gallery off stops new scanning; tags already added stay searchable until you clear them.

Pricing and your photo allowance

AI scanning has a real cost for every photo, so -- like Image Watch and Quick Upload -- it's a paid add-on, AI Athlete Tags, available on the Pro plan and above:

Every photo that's scanned counts once against whichever allowance pays for it. A photo that fails before the AI is billed for it is put back automatically, so a failure never costs you a scan. If a scan can't run because you're out of photos, nothing is queued and nothing is charged -- the AI page tells you what's left and lets you subscribe or buy more. Only the account owner can subscribe, buy photos or cancel.

Manage it from the AI page in any gallery, or under Plan & Billing.
